Tonight at 7pm the Premier League continues in Liverpool and the second televised event of “The New Era”.
The Winmau dartboard will be used for it’s second time on television however, it since last week it has been used in two floor events in Barnsley.
Night 2: Cardiff
Peter Wright vs Michael van Gerwen
The current World Champion and aspiring World Number 1 takes on the man who held the World Number 1 spot for the longest in the history of the sport.
Van Gerwen took an early exit on Night 1 at the hand of Gary Anderson and will want to put right the wrongs of the last year however, current form suggests Wright will be strong as he aims for his second successive winning week.
Jonny Clayton vs Michael Smith
The World Championship finalist against last years premier league champion, Clayton made it all the way to the final last week with Smith taking an early exit to Peter Wright. Both have played well in recent months so this will be a good watch.
James Wade vs Joe Cullen
The UK open champion takes on the newly crowned Masters champion. James Wade last week beat the world number one before losing to Jonny Clayton while Cullen took a round one exit. Cullen actually averaged higher than Wade did in either of his games so this could be a close affair.
Gerwyn Price vs Gary Anderson
A repeat of the 2021 World Championship Final the smart money is always going to be on Gerwyn Price as the current World Number One (although he may not soon depending on Peter Wrights performances) however, if one man can produce an upset it is Gary Anderson – it is always fun watching these two play and this wont be any different.
